The world is Square - an IT perspective.

Its a wonder, that 400 years after Galileo's discovery, we realise, after all, that the great man of science got it all wrong. The world is indeed square and is pretty much the centre of our existence. Consider my life - morning comes and I find myself in a little square room. I move from my little square apartment to my bigger square office and seek my spot in my littler square cubicle. From then on I go micro and immerse myself into the world of tiny squares - square monitor, square icons , square mousepad.. My heart skips a beat as I refer to the dreaded square checkboxes on the process sheets - is there some process checkbox that I should have included that I didn't? After all these little checkboxes define my squareness quotient.....and in an IT company, the more square you are the greater your value ! Every now and then I look out of the square windows at the illusion of space and sky that lies beyond. I wonder sometimes: Galileo may have been excommunicated for proposing that the world is round ...what would my supreme project manager do to me if I proposed that there was a world outside the square - put me on the bench perhaps ?
