East is East !

Went to Pop Tates, Mulund. Yes ! Finally a restaurant in the upper East Side that can boast of a decent setting and booze :-)

Traditionally Upper East End - New York is the homestead of the high flying New York Elite. But for Bombay the Upper East suburbs take on a whole different meaning. With no pubs or lounges and not even the hint of a discotheque - and where most of the young crowds think they have arrived, by makng a weekly appearance at the ever over-rated R-Mall, its more than a breath of fresh air to have a half decent place that like mindeed boozards can chill out at ( even if it is at R-Mall ). Needless to say that the signs of the upper East mentality still show when one of the managing team seemed a bit confused with our jargon when asked if he could play us some Rock Music...well you can't win 'em all. But its a start for sure!
